Other sections
The rest of the modules live in other sidebar sections:
- Dashboard: counters for active calls, extensions, phone numbers and conference rooms, and the last calls, at a glance.
- Apps and Security: AI Assistants (AI-powered voice agents), AI Load Balancers (distribute calls across multiple AI providers), the Auto Dialer's Campaign Manager (outbound calling campaigns) and Distribution Lists (contact lists for auto-dialer campaigns), Call Tracking, and the Inbound Blacklist (block unwanted inbound callers) and Outbound Whitelist (choose which destination prefixes may be dialled, through which trunk and with which caller ID).
- Analytics: Live Calls (monitor, disconnect, and coach active calls in real time), Call Logs (view and export call detail records), Call Notifications (webhook notifications for call events) and API Keys (Owner-managed scoped API keys with per-resource read/write permissions).
- General: Web Phone (in-browser softphone for placing, receiving, and coaching calls), Embedded Dialer (embed a user's Web Phone in a third-party website with one script snippet), Settings (Cloudonix integration and organization settings), MCP Server (let AI agents safely operate your PBX via the Model Context Protocol) and Auth0 Syndicated Authentication (social sign-in, invitations and organization join requests, when Auth0 is enabled).
Getting Started
Read Navigating the Admin Interface first; it explains the sidebar, roles and the delete and Unprovisioned patterns that every module uses.
If you are setting up OPBX for the first time, we recommend configuring the modules in this order:
- Users — Users: create accounts for your team members
- Extensions — Extensions: assign phone extensions to each user
- Trunks — Trunks: add the SIP trunks used for inbound and outbound calls, if your provider needs them
- Phone Numbers — Phone Numbers: add your DID numbers and configure routing
- Ring Groups — Ring Groups: set up call distribution for departments
- Call Queues — Call Queues: add queues if you need waiting callers and statistics
- Business Hours — Business Hours: configure time-based routing rules
- IVR Menus — IVR Menus: build automated phone menus for callers
Then add Announcements for prompts and hold music, and Inbound Blacklist or Outbound Whitelist for call control.
Module Documentation Format
Each module guide is a walk-through:
- Purpose and prerequisites: what the module is for and what must exist first
- Permissions: which roles can see and change it
- Fields: every field with its real limits
- Workflows: each task the screen offers (create, edit, delete, toggle, assign and so on) as numbered steps, with who can do it and the result you see
- What happens on save, and the in-use check that can refuse a delete
- Common errors: the messages you can see and what to do
- Related modules and API endpoints
